We are a Kansas Corporation which has done research and development since 2004. The business has been doing research on Pharmacological studies that have demonstrated saffron extracts have anti-tumor effects and inhibit the growth of human cancer cells.
Dr. Hamidpour’s vision to research medical treatments is the foundation for Pars Bioscience, LLC. This business plan is being used to explore the Investigation of Saffron as a Nutritional Supplement for use in Cancer Treatments. The purpose of this project is to investigate saffron, and the processes used to prepare it, as a nutritional supplement for use in treating cancer. Initially, a literature review of saffron and its application in cancer treatment will be conducted. After the literature review, different preparations of saffron will be analyzed as a nutritional supplement. The concentration of the main active components of saffron will also be determined for each preparation.
Research on Pharmacological studies has demonstrated that saffron extracts have anti-tumor effects and inhibit the growth of human cancer cells. It could also be useful as a treatment for neurodegenerative disorders with memory impairment and Camphor is used in medicine as a stimulant, a diaphoretic, and an inhalant. Camphor ice is a mixture, containing principally camphor and wax, used for external application. Camphor is practically insoluble in water but is soluble in alcohol, ether, chloroform, and other solvents. The alcoholic solution is known as spirits of camphor.
Pars Bioscience’s realized that traditional medicinal strategies are very attractive and have earned serious consideration as potential means of controlling the incidence of cancer and have been used over thousand years in other countries. An important element of anticancer drug development using herbs is the main core of our research. The aim of this research is to provide an updated overview of experimental in vitro and in vivo investigations focused on the anticancer activity of saffron (Crocus sativus L.) and its principal ingredients. The potential use of these natural agents in cancer therapy and chemopreventive trials is also discussed.
